Once upon a time...
There was this boy who liked me so much that he was willing to put up with all of my girlish crap, make me laugh, hold my hand in public, and even make pancakes while I brew the coffee. He liked me so much that he was willing to give up his name and his family to be with me, but some bad shit went down and he was pretty much exiled so we started planning our escape (and my own false death) together. It was all going to work out until... oh, wait... it did work out, so that other story must have been from a movie or a book or something, I can't really remember now.
Back to my story: He even liked me so much that he followed me around for five whole years saying something about being in love with me.
Then one day he asked me to marry him!!!
(You can read all about the proposal by checking out this doodle.)
We wanted to get married on our 5 year anniversary, (and there was an opportunity to save a bunch of money on our car insurance by switching to Geiko - I mean, save on tuition costs so that I won't be drowning in debt when I graduate college but merely swimming in it, and one day we can afford a house or something) so we pretty much had a week long engagement. And, let me tell you, it was one crazy week! Between studying for finals and a surprise bachelorette party (click that link right there to see a doodle about it!), I was lost in that mysterious collision of time and space where you never know what day it is, or even if it's daytime or nighttime without looking outside. The entire week now feels as if it were only a day, so I'm lucky that I have many pictures to help me remember.
Here are some highlights. (Oh, and if you pay close enough attention, you will realize that my doodles are impressively truthful, and that is what makes them so gosh darn funny.)

We are still planning on having a formal ceremony in a couple of years, but now I am married to the love of my life.
(You can see how awesome he is and how I feel about calling him my husband by checking out this doodle.)

aww thanks girls!!!
ReplyDeleteLacey this is so friggen adorable! I love it. How did you do the whole picture thingys? That is so cute. My fave was "He likes me! He really likes me!" Lol and your doodles are really accurate and you are right that is why they are funny. To quote a comedian we both enjoy, "I know its true...hence funny. TRUE that's why it's funny!" or something like that. :D
